How do I apply for the Internship?

It’s a simple 5 step process.

Step 1: Go to www.IdeasEvolved.com/application-form/

Step 2: Fill out the application form. Make sure to attach all the required files.

Step 3: Wait for the confirmation email informing you that your application has been received.

Step 4: You’ll be informed about the date and time of your online Skype interview well in advance so you can ensure you’re well prepared for it. (Only team leaders will be interviewed in case you apply as a team.)

Step 5: Wait for results.

What kind of people are you looking for?

We are looking for enthusiastic people, who have a particular skill that suits at least one of the departments in our internship program (no, we will not ask you to stick to just one department, you can ask your team leader to let you help in any task assigned to your team). You should be willing to experiment with new and creative ideas and work hard to achieve assigned goals.

Will my work as an intern at iE be certified through any-?

Yes, yes. You will get a certificate at the end of this program, so that your time spent with iE can continue to benefit you later in your professional life. It will be sent to the address you give in your C.V.

Why should I apply for iE Internships?

Well for starters, as mentioned above “You will get a certificate at the end of this program, so that your time spent with iE can continue to benefit you later in your professional life”. As an intern your aim is to learn, and be a part of something bigger than each of us individually, and that’s exactly what Ideas Evolved offers you. You will get hand-on experience of planning and running ventures like Ideas Evolved. You will interact with the people handling the various ends of iE (the heads of departments and managing heads of the various units within iE).

Will there be any stipend?

No, but the teams will get commission on the basis of the clients and advertisers they bring for Ideas Evolved (under the Marketing Department).

What is the deadline for application?

You have to fill the application form by 16^th June, midnight, after which you will receive an email confirmation that your application has been received.

What must we include in our cover letter?

You are required to mention your name, age, institute, city and whether you are an iE ambassador. Then you have to write a MAXIMUM of 500 words telling us how your skills and experience make you ideal for our internship program and what you expect out of this experience. In the same document, you have to add your C.V.

Please note, we will be using the Cover Letter to draw a first impression of the kind of person you are and the kind of intern you would make.

What should be included in the C.V?

At a minimum, your C.V. needs to have your background, contact information, educational background, work experience, extra-curricular and the list of skills that make you suitable for your field of interest in the Internship Program.

How many people can form a team?

You can apply as a team of 3-5. It is ideal that together, the team has skills pertaining to all departments – marketing, blog content management and graphic designing and that every member adds value to the team to optimize your performance. But remember, we will ensure that teams with less than 5 applicants will eventually be made up of 5 interns. In short, you may apply with less than 5 members, but we will make sure that each team has 5 complete members in the end, by inserting other selected applicants into that team if its selected.

I am not able to bring together a team. Will that put me at a disadvantage in the selection process for the internship?

No. The selection is done purely on merit and according to how well you fit the set out criteria. If selected, you will be allotted a team randomly. In the end, each team will have 5 members.

Can I do an internship for a smaller period of time?

iE only offers an 8-week long internship at the moment.

Is there any work that requires on-field visits?

Unless specified and stated to you very clearly (for purposes like that of marketing and holding interviews), the internship is purely home based, in fact, you can work from anywhere you like. All you need is a consistent internet connection.

Applications are allowed from which regions of Pakistan?

This internship is internet based and thus your place of residence doesn’t make any difference as long as you have the potential to be a super-internee, a fit for our program. If you are applying from outside Pakistan, you will work with other team members from Pakistan and maintain online contact, but your certificates can only be sent to an address in Pakistan.

Who will we be working under?

For each department, you will have one head to work and co-ordinate with. For example, for marketing tasks, you have to coordinate with the Marketing Head, for Blog Content Management, you will be working under the assigned head for that and so on.

How will the work be distributed and coordinated?

Each team leader will be given a set of tasks by the department heads, the team can then divide these tasks among themselves.

Can I get this internship even if I have no previous work experience?

Yes. The internship has been designed in a way to facilitate you and give you a learning opportunity. If you have particular skills, the rest won’t matter.

What extra benefit does this internship offer us that no other does?

Apart from the fact that you can work from any part of the world (as long you have enthusiasm and a sound internet connection), you can also work alongside friends in teams of YOUR choice (if all members are selected, ask your team leader to paint a good enough picture). Better yet, top performers will get to represent Ideas Evolved in our External Promotions Drive later in summer.

Also, our Directors and HR Manager will hand pick top performers to be inducted as permanent members of the Ideas Evolved team.

Can the applicants for Web Designing Department be part of a team?

No. The internees of that department will be working for that particular department only, under our Head of I.T. Their performance will be evaluated on individual basis as well.
