Selection Criteria

Together, as a team, you must possess the following to become good candidates for our Internship Program. You don’t have to have all of the following skills, but the more you have as a team, the better. Of course, it is given that all applicants will and should give special attention to deadlines and be committed and hard working.

Each department has it’s own set of requirements:

Marketing and R&D:

  • Contacts in local business for sponsorship/advertisers and to gather clients for iE
  • Good presentation skills – making and delivering both
  • Conveyance available for fieldwork, if any
  • Ability to make proposals customized to the requirements of potential sponsors/clients
              By the Head of Marketing himself:
  • Adaptability – because you will be faced with many practical issues, you will have to find solutions. And yes, you and your team will get credit for that while being evaluated.
  • Your objectives in this department will include small scale researches, though your department head will guide you, best you familiarize yourself with basic research methods (seriously, just Google it up if you are not a business student)

Graphic Designing:

  • Familiarity with graphic designing and publishing softwares (such as these ones: Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign/MS Publisher)
  • Ability to come up with design that goes with the content
  • Ability to follow instructions given by the managing head

Blog Content Management:

  • Ability to find worthy content for the blog
  • Ability to responsibly handle the work assigned to them
  • Preferably have contacts or be able to get interviews of popular personalities
  • Good writing and editing skills
  • Know-how of designing an interview

Web Designing (For individual applicants only. Teams applying do not have to concern themselves with the following) :

  • Know-how of web-designing and development
  • Ability to research competitors’  websites and see what they are doing better
  • Creativity regarding the design and display of information
  • Willingness to experiment – testing, adapting, adjusting
  • Ability to combine varied requirements in a compatible way
  • Ability to execute ideas and see through their success

You will be learning much of the above as you go along interning, but someone in your team should have basic skills for each department that iE can build upon. See you all at the interview, bring your skills along.
